My top tips for correct sitting position:
- 1. Your feet are supported on the floor
- 2. Your knees are bent at a 90 degree angle
- 3. Your hips are at the same height or slightly higher than your knees
- 4. Your back is fully supported, especially in the hollow curve
- 5. You sit far back into your seat
- 6. Your head and shoulders are in line with your hips
- 7. Your abdominal muscles are contracted
- 1. You should be able to adjust its height to suit your height as well as the level of the desk
- 2. It should swivel, so that you do not have to twist your body when turning
- 3. It must support the hollow part of your lower back
- 4. It must have armrests that are as high as your elbows, when your arms are bent at 90 degrees
- 5. It must be the right height for the surface at which you are sitting
- 6. It should also have a soft but firm cushion
