General Homecare:
  • Water intake should be increased to 2 litres a day.
  • Stick to a balanced diet.
  • Try and replace tea and coffee with herbal or fruit teas.
  • Try and do at least 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week.
  • Take regular breaks during the day. If you sit at a computer desk, get up and stretch your legs every so often.
  • Take a relaxing bath in the evenings if time allows. Add any home blends you may have been given according to instructions by you therpist.
  • Use a loofah/ natural bristle brush before showering, using circular movements towards the heart, to boost blood and lymphatic circulation.
  • Take time out for yourself, listen to music, read a book, take a relaxing bath.

General Aftercare:
It is important to follow aftercare advice so that the full benefits of the treatment can be gained.
  • Try not to have a shower, bath or sauna for 24 hours. This will allow thorough penetration of essential oils.
  • You should not sunbathe or use sun beds for 24 hours. Phototoxic oils may cause skin to burn.
  • Rest and relax after the treatment, to ensure the body is able to heal itself.
  • Drink plenty of water or herbal teas to help remove toxins from the body.
  • Coffee, tea and cola should be avoided as they contain caffeine.
  • Clients should not smoke or drink alcohol for about 24 hours.
  • Heavy meals should be avoided after treatment.
  • Wait 10minutes after treatment before driving home if you feel sleepy.
  • No strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
  • Relax and take it easy for the rest of the day if possible.
